About Rob McIntire
Twenty years of helping men and families find their way forward.
Rob McIntire is the founder and executive director of Freedom to Live Counseling. His work focuses on addiction, sexual integrity, marriage and family restoration, trauma recovery, and men's counseling.
Before becoming a counselor, Rob spent more than seventeen years in law enforcement, serving as a narcotics and burglary detective, deputy sheriff, training officer, and regional academy coordinator. That career gave him a direct, unflinching understanding of the ways people get trapped in destructive patterns and the kind of honest, structured support it takes to break free.
Rob does not approach counseling from a textbook. He brings the weight of real experience, both professional and personal, to every conversation. His clients describe him as direct when honesty is needed and deeply compassionate when support is needed. He combines clinical training with the kind of practical wisdom that only comes from years of working with people in their most difficult moments.

Rob's Approach
Rob's counseling is built on accountability, honesty, and practical tools, not theories alone. He believes that lasting change requires understanding the pattern, accepting responsibility, building a structured plan, and having someone in your corner who will not let you hide from the work.
Faith-integrated counseling is available for those who want it, drawing on biblical principles alongside clinical methods. Rob never requires faith as a condition of counseling, and he works effectively with clients of all backgrounds and belief systems.
Rob is not going to tell you what you want to hear. He is going to tell you what you need to hear, and then help you do something about it.
Retreats, Speaking & Events
Beyond one-on-one and group counseling, Rob is available for retreats, speaking engagements, workshops, and seminars. He speaks on addiction recovery, sexual integrity, men's mental health, biblical masculinity, and building accountability into everyday life.
Whether it is a men's retreat, a church event, or a workshop for your organization, Rob brings the same direct, practical approach that defines his counseling work.
